Senior Planning Officers will deal with all types of planning applications - including major and complex applications and appeals, making recommendations thereon, presenting to Planning Committees, and appearing as an expert witness at inquiries. Candidates will have a qualification in planning and a clean driving licence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work within a team to provide a high quality customer focused planning service. Some working out of normal office hours may be required.
The temporary maternity cover post is available with immediate effect, and will end June 2013.
