Regeneration Officer
37 hours per week, 3 year fixed term contract
The Forest of Dean District, within Gloucestershire has a population of about 82,000. It borders Wales along the Wye Valley and is close to Gloucester, Bristol and Newport/Cardiff. The Council offices are located at Coleford, which is where the post-holder will be based.
Reporting to the Regeneration Manager, the Regeneration Officer will support the work of both the Council’s Planning & Housing Group and the Cinderford Regeneration Board. The role will support the delivery of regeneration services throughout the District. Current priorities are to implement the Cinderford Area Action Plan, Cinderford town centre improvements and to help market the Forest of Dean Investment Prospectus.
With a good level of education, the successful candidate will be a good communicator, computer literate, able to demonstrate at least two years experience of partnership working and effective project delivery within an economic regeneration environment and be a “self-starter”.
