Neighbourhood Planning Advisor
London based with frequent travel
Full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2013
Planning Aid England, part of the Royal Town Planning Institute, provides free, independent and professional planning advice and support to disadvantaged groups and individuals through its advice line. Planning Aid England also works to provide professional planning advice particularly to Neighbourhood Planning Front Runners.
In this role, you will support identified community groups in the preparation of their neighbourhood plans. This support will be both directly from yourself, as well as through our network of professional volunteers. In addition to this, you will also advise and assist the Quality Assurance Advisor in the preparation of technical guidance and resources.
An understanding of Neighbourhood Planning and the ability to work directly with community groups is essential, as is being able to manage a team of volunteers to deliver project goals. The groups you will be working with are spread across England and, as such, there may be a need for frequent travel. Chartered Membership of the RTPI is essential.
