Senior Planner (Planning and Transport Policy Team)
This post is for an experienced planner to work in the Planning and Transport Policy Team on a range of planning policy matters including mineral and waste local plans, transport policy, infrastructure planning, and working with other authorities and agencies on their plans and proposals.
You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic planner with extensive knowledge and experience of planning including the preparation of planning policy documents. You must be able to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders and be able to influence others in order to make a positive contribution to the quality of life in our communities. Experience of minerals and/or waste policy is desirable.
The postholder will need the right personal skills and attributes including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, the ability to deal with sensitive and contentious issues, and a commitment to producing a consistently high standard of work.
