Planning Development Manager
Maternity cover for minimum period of six months.
We are seeking an experienced planning professional who will be able to fit comfortably into the role of leading our Development Management Team for a temporary period. You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the team and would also be required to deputise for the Head of Planning in his absence. You will be determining applications under delegated powers, involved in complex applications and appeals and expected to regularly attend evening committee meetings.
You will be a member of the RTPI with a degree or equivalent qualification or experience. You will have the ability to inspire your team, have a proven track record of managing staff and experience of dealing with a complex and varied caseload. It is essential that you are a skilled communicator, computer literate and have excellent organisational skills. A clear customer focus and attention to detail will also be attributes you should be able to demonstrate.
