PROJECT MANAGER
Ditherington Flax Mill Maltings, Shrewsbury
The Flax Mill Malting partnership has been successful with their first-round application to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for £12.1M and is now looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join their Project Team to move forward one of Shropshire’s most exciting regeneration projects. The derelict Flax Mill Maltings site is internationally important with seven listed buildings including the first iron-framed building in the world, which was ancestor to all skyscrapers.
PROJECT MANAGER, Ref: BGP12/07 – Fixed term for 18 months – £43,361 per annum (Employed by Shropshire Council)
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the HLF second-round application, ensure delivery of a range of studies, strategies and plans, and develop a viable Business Plan which will ensure the long term sustainability of these important historic buildings through a mix of public and commercial activity.
Apart from relevant professional skills you will have had success in managing relevant projects, ideally involving the public, private and voluntary sectors. Above all you will be self-motivated, with initiative and drive to deliver a comprehensive and complex project to challenging timescales.
