Planning Policy Team Leader

£40,410 - £43,054 plus 9% market related pay and benefits

Sevenoaks Council is a high performing authority with an enviable track record of providing excellent services for its residents. We are looking for a confident and highly effective Planning Policy Team Leader to manage our Planning Policy team for a one-year fixed period, to cover a period of maternity leave.

Leading our Planning Policy function, you will be responsible for Planning Policy, including Local Plans, Community Infrastructure Levy and the local perspective on national and regional policy. Through your understanding of and desire to meet customer needs, you will ensure that the Team provides a valued, responsive and flexible service to its customers.

You will have experience in leading and managing a Planning Policy Team, have strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills, be a Chartered Town Planner and have the ability to work with people at all levels of the Council.
