When it comes to the conservation of heritage assets in Cambridge, you’ll be charged with developing, managing and promoting the provision of specialist guidance and advice on behalf of the City Council. You will be instrumental in protecting and enhancing the quality of the city’s built environment for residents and visitors alike.
We’ll expect you to bring to the role significant experience of dealing with a broad range of conservation functions. To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need extensive knowledge of planning law, policy and procedures as it relates to the historic environment. You’ll be part of a dynamic and progressive Urban Design and Conservation Team that has a reputation for playing a major role in planning the built environment of Cambridge. Experience of supervising staff and managing performance is also essential.
