Harrogate Borough Council has recently embarked on an ambitious transformation programme. Our aim is to deliver efficiencies, modernise working practices and improve services to the public.
As part of this change, a new integrated Planning and Development Service is being established within the Department of Development Services.
We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring individual to lead this service to drive improvement and give oversight to the change process.
As Head of Service you will have responsibility for some112 staff, a net revenue budget of £3.2m and operational and non-operational assets with a combined value of around £212m.
The new service will incorporate planning policy, development control, planning enforcement, building control, land charges, economic development, estate and strategic asset management.
