An enthusiastic and experienced spatial planner is required to play a key role in shaping planning policy for the borough through the review of Cheltenham Borough Local Plan and the wider Joint Core Strategy (covering Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury boroughs).

You will be required to demonstrate experience in the formulation and implementation of spatial planning policy including contribution to decision making at a senior level.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working within programme and project management principles within a challenging environment with competing demands on your time.

You will have a creative outlook and enthusiasm for team working, as well as excellent communication skills. Enthusiasm for community involvement is a must.
