Hounslow, lying immediately to the east of Heathrow Airport, yet only 30 minutes away from the centre of London, is a London Borough with a diverse multicultural community, full of opportunities and challenges.
Enforcement is one of the Councils key priorities and we need an effective motivational leader for our Planning Enforcement team to deliver an excellent high profile service. We receive a high number of complaints that need to be investigated, and you will need experience of working in a busy urban environment. You will need to be well organised with excellent time management and case allocation skills. We are looking for the right person to be able to lead on innovative projects. You should possess initiative and good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be the lead contact for Councillors and members of the community.
You will manage the investigation and negotiating process and take appropriate action in order to address alleged breaches in planning controls, including prosecutions and legal action. You will also present enforcement cases at committee, appeals and in court. You will need to have experience in enforcement investigation and in management
