Client is particularly looking for a track record of delivering local plans or LDF documents and senior level exposure of dealing with members on a range of issues - recent experience is key. This is a lead role is delivering a local plan for the town and in leading this group of 8 to 11 people. A strong background in delivering local plans and similar statutory planning documents in a complex urban environment will be important. This role requires in depth experience and knowledge of the process but also considerable confidence in presenting to and dealing with members on a regular basis about contentious planning issues. The post holder will be dealing with tight urban contrasts. You will need to plan, gain evidence and process through strategically with group members. You will need to be able to present and deliver their findings and plans to the members.
This contract will last for around 18 months and the pay rate is negotiable between £200 and £400 per day, depending on experience.
