We are seeking a well respected, experienced professional to become the new Chief Planner with the Scottish Government
Scotland’s planning system has undergone the most significant modernisation in over 60 years. We are looking for an individual who can lead the delivery of a planning service that is efficient, inclusive and fit for purpose, supporting the Scottish Government’s Central Purpose of increasing sustainable economic growth.
You must be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and display clear evidence of standing within the planning profession and the wider planning community, principally within Scotland but also internationally. It is essential that you demonstrate a sound understanding of planning issues and planning practice across Scotland and have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
