Urban Designer/Planning Officer - 9 Months
A busy and friendly West London Planning department require an experienced Urban Design/ Master Planning input to pre-application enquiries and planning applications processed by the Council.
The post holder will be both commercially and professionally minded and have previously successfully co-ordinated large scale urban design and planning related projects.
Applicants are expected to have an excellent grasp of current and emerging planning policy and to be able apply such policy to secure desired outcomes.
A recognised urban design and planning qualification to at least degree level is required and you will be comfortable and confident when in front of key members of the local authority and clients.
8. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide a professional and high quality service on behalf of the Planning and Transportation Service in respect of urban design advice and planning applications submitted by key Council Partners.
To carry a personal caseload of applications and to undertake all related activity (ranging from pre‑application design discussions and negotiations through to processing of reserved matters submissions).
The role will initially be for 9 months
