Planning Policy Officer
£22,221 to £27,052 per annum
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to commence or develop a career in Planning Policy. The postholder will assist in the development and delivery of the Local Plan documents for Chichester District. Initially this will be the Core Strategy. This role will involve research, producing maps and diagrams, formulating policy and presenting findings.
The successful applicant must be a good team worker and have knowledge and understanding of planning policy issues, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good computer skills and the ability to interpret and present statistical information are required, along with research and analytical skills. The ability to use Geographical Information Systems would also be an advantage.
You will hold a degree or diploma in Planning, or a closely related subject and working towards or willing to obtain a professional qualification in planning.
