Our Client based in the Yorkshire region is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chartered Town Planner to join the Strategic Planning team.

Their role will be working with a dynamic and dedicated team to develop the Core Strategy and Local Development Framework for the region. This position will specifically be leading on the preparation of the Local Development Framework for the region.

In addition you will be required to work with other team members within the Policy and Strategy department to help in understanding the Local Development Framework. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of spatial planning (including the LDF system and processes) a working knowledge of the Regional spatial strategy and managerial capability.

Preferred candidates should be able to demonstrate innovative ideas during the processes of developing the Local Authorities spatial plans and have a range of experience as a town planner. The Ideal candiate will be educated to degree level and over 5 years experience primarily within a planning policy background.

This opportunity is offering planning professionals working on a 6month contractual basis with the potential for this to be extended.
