Job: Urban Designer, BBT

Do you have an eye for design? One of the most respected Planning and Urban Design consultancies in the UK is currently seeking ambitious and creative Senior Urban Designers to join their design team in their Yorkshire based offices.

They are currently seeking an ambitious Urban design consultant with over 5 years experience and at least 3 years consultancy experience, you will also have design experience prodominantly within retail, commercial and industrial sectors.

Role and responsibilities:

• Undertaking all forms of general planning condultancy case work ans Urban design work. You will also have particular envolvement into major projects and key clients.
• Manage and supervise the work of other planning and urban design staff in conjunction with Directors to ensure quality of service to clients.
• Assisting in the training and coaching and professional development of other urban design staff.
• Approach a bussiness development and seek new work opportunities and ensure the needs of existing clients are met.
• Preparation of masterplans,site layout, urban design schemes and supporting information.
• Preparation of promotional material and exhibition material.
• Attendance at public exhibitions.

The ideal candidate will provide relevant experience as a qualified and practising Urban Designer with a consultancy background. You will also have experience with all design packages including Adobe CS3 Design Suite, Auto Cad, Space Syntax and sketch up. You will also be educated upto degree level.
