Consultancy Indigo Planning has added a fresh face to its team in Leeds with the appointment of Julie White.

White joins the firm as an associate from rival firm DPP, where she spent almost nine years, firstly as senior, then principal planner.

In her new role she will be responsible for delivering residential and mixed-use proposals for private and public clients.

Simon Grundy, Indigo Planning’s regional director, and head of its Leeds office, said the appointment was part of a strategy to grow the city team “after considerable improvements in regional market confidence and property investment in 2015”.

Prior to joining DPP, White was senior planner at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council after starting her career as a planning officer at Hull City Council.

She has a master’s degree from Leeds Metropolitan University in town & regional planning and is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
