Iceni planners GlasgowGary Mappin (pictured, right) and Ian Gallagher (left) have been appointed to head up planning consultancy Iceni Projects’ new Glasgow office – its first expansion outside London.

Mappin joines from his own consultancy, Mappin Consulting, while Gallagher joins from property adviser GVA, where he was a director in the planning team.

The team has already helped progress Edinburgh’s first new malt whisky distillery for 100 years through the planning process, and is also advising on the redevelopment of the former Strathclyde Police headquarters.

Prior to setting up his own consultancy, Mappin worked as a regional senior director at GVA.

Gallagher spent 15 years in the planning team at GVA.

Pamela Turner has also joined the Glasgow team as a senior planner, while Sara Cockburn has been appointed to planner position.
