Rob SearleA surveying practice is looking to expand by taking on its first planner to help it tackle a jump in workloads from local authorities.

Dixon Searle Partnership director Rob Searle (pictured in blue shirt) told Planning: “We specialise in local authority strategic policy and site-specific reviews and have seen a huge rise in workload.

“We don't want to turn work away so are looking to expand by taking on our first planner. What's prompting the rise in workloads are changes to community infrastructure levy (CIL), renegotiation of section 106 agreements and issues around affordable housing.”

The firm is looking to recruit a senior planning consultant to focus on local plans, CIL and other strategic planning projects.
