Robinson Escott Planning LLP has recruited a former local authority chief chief planner to help the business tackle a big rise in residential work.

Bob McQuillan joined as a consultant from the London Borough of Bromley, to undertake a number of housing and commercial projects throughout London and the South East.

Senior partner John Escott, based in Orpington, Kent, told Planning: “The improving economy and political recognition that we need more housing is forcing the demand.”

Projects currently on the go for the firm include a 200-unit housing development for Crest Nicholson and a 50-unit development just outside Bognor.
