A west London development corporation is expanding its team to help drive forward ambitious regeneration plans.

The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation is overseeing the transformation of a 79-hectare west London site to deliver 24,000 homes and more than 55,000 jobs around a new High Speed 2 and Crossrail station.

It is now seeking a project manager to oversee the socio-economic regeneration of the area.

A statement by the corporation said the new appointee would “build influential relationships and develop and lead programmes and projects”.

They will also build relationships with local partners and stakeholders.

Regeneration programmes will be expected to help provide local people with access to jobs, education and skills, plus health, cultural and community facilities.

In addition, the role will be expected to focus on initiatives to encourage business growth.

The regeneration project manager will be expected to reap maximum benefits from the newly planned High Speed 2, Crossrail, National Rail and London Overground transport interchange at Old Oak Common.

In June, planning and development veteran Will McKee CBE was appointed as chairman of the planning committee for the corporation.
