A London-based planning consultancy is expanding to meet demand stoked by a 'mini housing bubble'.

Maven Plan director Nick Sutton told Planning: “We are seeing lots of residential-led growth, especially opportunities for conversion of office spaces (pictured).

“This is driven by a number of factors: the strength of the resurgent economy, low interest rates, a lack of housing supply and the increase of foreign money coming into the UK.

“All this has led to a mini property bubble that's underpinning growth in the housing market within and outside London.”

The firm, based in Fulham, London, wants to recruit an associate or senior planner to research planning histories, policies and land use, assemble consultant teams and co-ordinate applications.

Other duties will include preparing representations to local authorities to promote sites through councils' local development frameworks and manage a variety of projects.
