Suffolk-based consultancy Planning Direct has appointed Ipswich Borough Council’s head of town planning as a principal planning consultant.

In a statement, the firm said that Steve Miller has been appointed to join the firm’s planning appeals team.

Planning Direct has also appointed Jenna Boreham as a spatial planner and architectural designer.

Boreham was educated at University of Suffolk and studied her Masters in International Planning and Sustainable Development at the University of Westminster.

Andrew Cann, director of Planning Direct, said: “Steve brings us unparalleled experience of planning and local government, including experience of master planning and boosts our capacity for large scale projects. Meanwhile, Jenna brings an energy to our team, as well as challenging orthodox approaches”.

Planning Direct is based in Ipswich (pictured) and operates across England and Wales, with a particular focus on London.
