Growing commercial and residential markets have prompted property consultancy Vail Williams to take on new planning staff.

Appointments and promotions at senior and junior levels have taken place in offices at Guildford, Crawley and Reading, according to head of planning consultancy James Lacey.

“As markets pick up companies that delayed expansion or moving premises have rethought strategies while after so many delays on residential sites the diggers are beginning to rumble again to deliver badly needed homes,” he told Planning.

New appointments include associate planner Vincint Verster who was a senior planner at Boyer Planning and graduate planners Sarah Isherwood and James Guthrie join straight from university.

Jen Sanders is promoted from planner to senior planner, while Ben Christian is promoted from graduate planner to planner.
