Development and infrastructure consultancy Peter Brett Associates (PBA) has appointed of Emma Hawkes as an associate at its Ashford office in Kent.

Hawkes leaves Barton Willmore, where she  was a senior planner for almost 10 years, prior to which she worked at South Bucks District Council as development control planner and as a planning policy officer.

Her appointment effectively doubles the planning staff at PBA’s Ashford office, which covers projects across London and the South East.

Mike Bodkin, PBA’s senior planning associate at Ashford, said that while the firm had been present in Kent for a long time, the local planning team was relatively new.

“Our pipeline of work includes a growing number of residential and mixed-use developments across London and the South East,” he said.

“We’re a multi-disciplinary consultancy and we felt we wanted to bring in an additional planner with private-sector commercial experience.”
