Planning consultancy Pegasus Group extend has appointed minerals and waste specialist Chris Jarvis as a director.

According to a statement from Pegasus, prior to joining the firm, Jarvis ran his own consultancy, MEWP, for six years. Prior to that, he ran the Leeds office of landscape architecture firm Glen Kemp, and before that he worked at RPS.

Pegasus said that Jarvis has experience of managing applications for minerals and waste development, and also experience of the energy industry “including energy from waste facilities and the provision of high voltage energy infrastructure”.

The firm added that Jarvis has secured planning permission for “a range of minerals and waste related developments including the extraction of clay to ensure a supply of bricks to the award-winning York Handmade Brick Co, new transfer stations in green belt locations and green waste composting facilities”.

Pegasus’ Leeds executive director Chris Calvert said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris Jarvis to our team here in Leeds. He brings an abundance of minerals and waste experience that really strengthens our existing planning and environmental teams perfectly, who already do some work within this sector.”
