Mike Jones (pictured left) has worked in private and public sectors and previous employers have been Crest Nicolson, Savills, Oakmoor Estates and, most recently, Richborough Estates.

IDP Group, which has offices in Coventry, London, Manchester and Peterborough, will base its planning team at its Coventry headquarters.

Executive chairman David Blake (right) said: “Planning is fundamental to the developmental process and we believe we can offer a full planning service backed with expertise across other disciplines.

“Mike has a proven track record in planning and has worked in different sides of the industry so it is a very exciting development.”

Jones said: “There is massive scope for the services we offer, especially bearing in mind the drive to deliver land for thousands of new homes under the raft of emerging local plans across the UK.”
