DartmoorA recent planning reorganisation at Dartmoor National Park Authority has prompted a search for a new planning officer.

Planning team manager Chris Hart told Planning: “The restructure involved development management (DM) and forward planning and has opened up a vacancy in DM.

“We deal with 600 plus applications a year and have lots of development issues to do with rural agricultural building needs and affordable housing.

“But we have to balance these needs with our statutory purpose of preserving and enhancing a nationally protected landscape.”

The authority is looking to recruit a new planning officer to join a DM team of six planners.
