Savills Birmingham office new appointments

Property adviser Savills has expanded its Birmingham planning team with three new appointments.

Matthew Williams, Heather Gallagher and Christopher Moore joined the team this week, in a recruitment drive aimed at boosting retail, leisure and town centre planning capacity.

The trio will join the firm from rival Deloitte Real Estate, where they all worked together.

Paul Rouse, planning director, said: “The West Midlands property market is becoming increasingly active. With this increased activity from our investor and development clients, we anticipate a busy year ahead".

"We didn’t shrink the team during the recession and made two new additions to the team over the past year. The appointments are a reflection of the fact that we feel the market is turning up and we want to be ready for an increase in business."

The team is now nine-strong, he said.

Williams joins as associate director, and has experience in centre and out-of-centre retail-led development as well as on residential development sites across the UK.

Gallagher joins as associate planner after eight years in the industry, while Moore joins as planner after three years in the sector.
