Development firm Landid has appointed chartered planner Claire Freeland as development director.

She joins the firm from planning consultancy Quod, where she worked as an associate.

At Quod she worked with Landid on its Thames Valley portfolio, including a successful planning application for a major extension and refurbishment of the Charter Place building in central Uxbridge.

In her new role, she will be responsible for a range of new build and refurbishment projects for commercial, residential, retail and industrial use, as Landid looks to expand its portfolio across London and the South East.

Prior to joining Quod in 2011, she held planning roles at Reading Borough Council and Winchester City Council.

She has a masters in spatial planning from Oxford Brookes University and a bachelors in geography from the University of Exeter.
