Land promotion firm appoints planning director

Land promotion company Obsidian Strategic has appointed Philip Scott as director of planning.

According to the firm, Scott has over 26 years planning experience and has previously worked for firms including AECOM, CBRE and Atisreal.

He has also worked for a number of local planning authorities in senior positions in the south-east and south-west of England dealing with a range of major planning applications including residential and commercial development, development plan adoption processes and has appeared at public inquiries to deliver evidence, Obsidian said.

In his new role he will advise Obsidian Strategic on major development sites in central London and the south-east of England.
