Lancaster moves to Quod
RTPI Young Planner of the Year Emma Lancaster has joined planning consultancy Quod as an associate.
Lancaster joins the firm from the planning team at planning consultancy Spawforths, where she was also an associate.
In her Quod role, based in Leeds, she will advise public and private sector clients across the north of England.
Her specialisms include development management, giving evidence as an expert witness and preparing Environmental Impact Assessments.
Prior to joining Spawforths, Lancaster was principal development management officer (major projects) at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, where she previously served as development control officer.
She also worked at Hambleton District Council as a development control officer.
She has a master of arts in town and regional planning from Leeds Metropolitan University and a bachelor’s in geography, with a focus on spatial planning, from University College London.
RTPI judges who awarded her the title of Young Planner of the Year said: “Emma is committed, proud and passionate about her role in the planning profession.
“She is a strong ambassador in promoting how planning can make a difference to communities and the economy.”
