Intelligent Plans and Examinations appoints veteran inspector

Consultancy Intelligent Plans and Examinations (IPe) has announced the appointment of former planning inspector Patrick Whitehead.  

In a statement, the firm said that Whitehead has over 25 years experience as a planning inspector and more than 60 years experience as a planner.

He has most recently completed the examination of Wiltshire Council’s Chippenham Strategic Allocations Plan in February 2017, the firm said.  

IPe director Lee Armitage said: “The experience and knowledge Patrick brings to the IPe team is quite unique, having worked from the infancy of land use planning in England in the 1950s through to the forward looking Housing White Paper in 2017.  

“Virtually all of us have worked extensively with Patrick in the past and know he will make a tremendous contribution to the team".
