Consultancy Indigo Planning has boosted its teams in Manchester and Leeds with two new appointments.

The firm said that the new staff have been taken on due to a continuous increase in activity in the North West and Yorkshire.

Matthew Hard joins the Manchester office as a senior planner, bringing experience of  development management and site promotion in the retail, leisure, tourism and renewable energy sectors.

Hard, a chartered planner, joins the firm from rival consultancy CDN Planning, where he was in an equivalent role.

He has a masters degree in urban planning from Oxford Brookes University.

Joanne Oldfield joins as a planner in the Leeds office. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Sustainability and has a MA in Town and Regional Planning.

She previously gained a masters in town and regional planning from the same institution, and worked as a research consultant at economic and social development consultant SQW.
