Property firm GVA has announced the appointment of a new national head of planning, development & regeneration.

According to the firm, Jo Davis, previously head of its Bristol office, will take on the new role.

David takes over from Gerry Hughes who was appointed chief executive of the firm last year.

GVA said that Davis has over 25 years of experience advising on regeneration projects and residential and infrastructure development across the public and private sectors.

Davis said: "It is a privilege to lead GVA’s PDR team at such an exciting time for the company and in the context of an evolving planning and housing delivery landscape".

GVA chief executive, Gerry Hughes added: “Jo has been an integral part of the PDR senior team for a long time and has made a huge contribution to its success over the last few years".
