The Manchester office of property consultancy GVA has appointed Helen Mansley as a planner in its planning, development and regeneration (PDR) team.

Mansley was previously a planning consultant at Peter Brett Associates, where she undertook retail need and impact assessments, as well as town centre studies. She also assisted in the preparation and appraisal of retail planning applications.

GVA said that Mansley would to support the wider PDR team, with a particular emphasis on retail, regeneration and employment projects.

In January this year GVA also hired Sam Stafford as a director in its PDR team. Stafford was previously planning associate director at the Himor Group.

GVA regional senior director Mark Rawstron said: “With the market showing promising signs of recovery, it is important that we bolster our teams accordingly with high quality talent, so that we are prepared as a consultancy to react effectively to opportunities for growth.”
