Design Council Cabe associate director to return to DCLG

David Waterhouse, associate director at built environment watchdog Design Council Cabe, is to return to the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

Waterhouse said that he will join the Planning Reform team at DCLG.

He said that the new role will include working on areas including the National Planning Policy Framework, skills and capacity within the planning sector as well as place-based engagement.

Waterhouse is chartered town planner with experience across both central and local government, the third and private sectors.

Prior to joining Cabe, he spent four years as head of planning and renewal in the Housing and Growth Directorate at DCLG.
