Mark HewettPlanning and development practice Intelligent Land is looking to expand its planning team from five to eight planners.

Partner Mark Hewett (pictured) told Planning: “Our work is broadening into generating our own development opportunities and consequently we are looking to expand.

“We are working with one of the major landowners to bring forward a new settlement at Welborne, Hampshire. We also have a pipeline of sites to promote in Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

“There is a massive need of housing across the country, which is driven by overforecasting and underdelivering of housing by local authorities.”

The firm, based on the outskirts of Ferndown in south-east Dorset, is looking to expand its team of five planners by recruiting up to three more planners or senior planners.

The firm said that duties will include managing submissions to local plan reviews, promoting development opportunities, producing feasibility assessments and managing planning application submissions.
