Burgeoning demand in retail and housing work has prompted consultancy Planning Perspectives to recruit four new staff.

Senior planner Mia Scaggiante (pictured) joins from City of Westminster where she was a senior planning officer and David Williams, also a senior planner, joins from Maven Plan where he was a planner.

Planner Lucy Farrow was senior assistant development planner at URS and planner Chris Cooper was a planning officer at Chiltern District Council.

Senior associate partner Stephanie Weeks told Planning: “Clients are becoming very active in the development market and we need new people to cover the demand.

“The residential market is strong and we deal with local authorities, which are dealing with more retail projects.

“There is a significant rise in people seeking to look at their more challenging sites to maximise their value. This is underpinning the positive feeling and feeding back to the public sector.”
