Property consultancy Bidwells is expanding its planning team in Milton Keynes due to an upturn in activity in the development market.

The firm, with offices across the South East, is advertising for a new recruit to join its existing  planning team of five based within its office in the Buckinghamshire new town.

The role will involve work on projects in Milton Keynes but also the rest of the country.

David Bainbridge, planning team leader in Milton Keynes, told Planning: “This recruitment drive is the result of an upturn in activity which we are experiencing.

“We are Bidwells’ most westerly team so cover a big geographical patch – ranging from Hampshire to Cheshire round to Humberside, as well as being  very active in Milton Keynes.”

The successful planner would be expected to lead teams working on small and medium sized projects, depending on previous experience.

In addition to town planning work, the role will also involve commercial and client management duties.

Bainbridge said: “We do a lot of planning applications for residential and mixed-use development so there is a lot of scope to work on a variety of projects.”
