Ashworth appointed planning partner at Strutt and Parker

David Ashworth Strutt and ParkerChartered planner David Ashworth has joined the national development and planning team of property consultancy Strutt & Parker as a partner.

Ashworth was previously co-principal at planning and development consultancy FoddyConsult.

At his new firm, he will work to identify new residential and mixed-use development opportunities throughout the South East of England.

Prior to working at FoddyConsult, he served as group regeneration director at construction firm Galliford Try.

He also worked as area director and acting regional director for English Partnerships and its successor body the Homes and Communities Agency between 2004 and 2010.

In that role, he managed the quango’s South East team from Kent to Hampshire with a budget of over £500m for affordable home investment and regeneration.

He also worked as a director for housebuilders Crest Nicholson and David Wilson Homes.

Ashworth has a bachelor’s degree and postgraduate diploma in planning from Oxford Polytechnic.
